A must for vitamin E deficiency
My aged Thoroughbred mare has Equine Motor Neuron Disease. The disease has not only caused her to become neurological, the vitamin E deficiency has caused her to lack the ability to produce fat. Instead of being a 5 or 6 on the body scale, she maintains a 4. No amount of food will ever make her look fat again, even though she is otherwise extremely healthy. When tested for this disease, she was the second worse case my vet clinic had ever seen and Cornell University called to inquire about her. Horses with EMND don’t live long, sometimes less than 6-weeks. Now my mare is 4-years post diagnosis and is doing great. I will NEVER take her off this supplement. I have tried in the past, and I have run out before we ordering, and I can tell the difference. Her balance, her soundness, and she looks fuller when on this supplement. She looks better, I bel she feels better, and I high recommend this supplement!

Great Vitamin E supplement!
This product was recommended by our vet, and we’ve using it for over a year. However, we had to find a new supplier as our former one no longer carries this product!

inappropriate tax
The product is great, but they charged me sales tax on it, when horse consumables are not a taxable item in my State. (Minnesota) I complained, but still have not gotten my tax returned to me.

My vet recommended this specifically as one of the best options for vitamin E
Using on my horses during the winter to supplement easy keepers that may not be getting enough vitamin E in their daily diet. Has worked well in muscle recovery.

This is a wonderful product and has helped with our horse.
An amazing product, however be aware that if the item arrives damaged as ours did, you are out the cost of the product and the replacement. Amazon is typically so good at taking care of their customers and fixing issues such as this, however that was not the case with this product and when I tried to reach out to the seller they referred me back to Amazon.

Dressage horses improve with Elevate
After reading some scientific research that documented improvement in EPM horses that were placed on Elevate, I decided to try it on some older dressage horses that were returning to work after an extended break. If you ride dressage, you know that horses need some “body-builder, weight-lifter” muscles to do their job. Building up these muscles takes time. I was hoping this supplement would accelerate this process. The three horses I am testing with Elevate look much better after only about six weeks. One, in particular, had weak hindquarters with insufficient muscular development. Now, she has a nice, round booty! Seriously, she has much more muscle in her topline, especially in her loin, over her croup, and in her haunches. This is paying off with more expressive gaits and a better attitude — since she is stronger and more muscular, she can comfortably remain in collection for longer periods of time. My oldest horse, a 19-year old, also developed a stronger topline and hindquarter. The third horse was in better condition to start, and therefore, has shown a more modest improvement. It is important to note that I used Elevate in combination with correct, classical dressage work to strengthen my horses. I doubt that you would see such a dramatic response if you simply fed Elevate to your horses and then turned them out in a pasture. The supplement should be combined with careful, intelligent work to have the most effect. But I am sold on Elevate and plan to keep using it, especially as we move into the winter months, when pasture is replaced with hay.

I’m not positive if this product is the real deal
I usually buy this product from smartpak, but I didn’t realize how low I was and decided to buy from Amazon. My guy has been on this for over a year, so I know what it is suppose to smell and look like. It’s usually an extremely fine white powder, but the tub I got from this seller was slightly off colored and had a slightly different texture. I called the manufacturer to verify lot numbers and they told me “it was a valid lot number, but the Amazon shop was not a verified distributor.” I am little crazy about my animals so I tasted the product from smartpak and I tasted this one just to see if anything was off. It wasn’t exactly the same which made me nervous. To conclude, I have been using it and there have been no bad impacts, but I just don’t know about the validity of the product. I would definitely suggest getting it from a feed store or smartpak over this seller just ensure the safety of your horse.

NATURAL VITAMIN E! HUGE DIFFERENCE. Immediate Improvement!
You can buy a Vitamin E supplement “with all eight forms of Vitamin E” which only means it is a Synthetic, or you can buy all natural Natural Vitamin E. If you research the difference of Synthetic vs Natural Vitamin E, the Synthetic is 30% effective, the Natural 100% effective. Meaning that you would need to feed 3 times more Synthetic for the same benefits of Natural Vitamin E. Buy a Natural Vitamin E. This company also makes Elevate Concentrate….. there is a BIG difference in Price, but the ONLY difference between the two is the size of the Scooper! And that size dosing can lead to aggression as evident by reviews. So this company takes advantage of owners in need of health remedies for the horses! On that principle I will be looking for a different source of Natural Vitamin E and welcome Suggestions if you find another company or product.

Elevate Maintenance vs Concentrate
Elevate Maintenance has 1000 iu of natural vitamin e per scoop. The 2 lb container has 65000 iu per pound.Elevate Contentrate has 5000 iu of natural vitamin e per a larger scoop. The 2 lb container has 80000 iu per pound. At today’s prices Maintenance is very slightly cheaper per unit than Concentrate.I bought a tub of Elevate Maintenance after blood work showed that one of my horses had low vitamin e.On the plus side: My vet recommended this brand. My horses like it and finish off whatever amount I sprinkle on top of their grain. And it is the natural, absorbable form of vitamin e.On the down side, it contains a lot of sugar. The ingredients are vitamin e and dextrose. The powder is very fine and if there is a breeze in your barn, or your horse snorts, you might see your expensive vitamin e supplement drifting away.

He likes it
My mini horse hasn’t liked other Vitamin E supplements and refused to eat his food with them on it. This one is a winner and he licks his feed dish clean. I’ll have to wait until spring to have him tested to see if it raises the Vitamin E level in his blood to where it should be.

One Year Experience With Update: Good Product But No Improvement In My Horse
This is the only water soluble, naturally occurring vitamin E supplement I’ve been able to find for my horse. Note the “D”-alpha-tocopherol vs. “Di”alpha-tocopherol, representing synthetic vitamin e. All the research I did seemed to point to needing naturally occurring vitamin e to have any actual affect on your horse. This product is palatable, I wet grain and sprinkle this on. I am using this for a horse who is a picky eater, hard to keep weight on and nervous. I can’t say I can attribute any huge behavioral change to this product which is the only reason for 4 and not 5 stars. I have been feeding for 6 months. It is priced about the same on amazon as it is on SmartPak but with free prime shipping this is the better deal.UPDATE: after 10 months of supplementation, i removed this supplement from my horses diet. I wanted to observe any behavior changes/body condition changes to see if it was worth continuing to purchase. After 3 months OFF of the supplement I have observed no changes in bahvior or condition. I will not continue supplementing as I did not observe any positive (or negative) changes in my horse. I have always believed that if a horse is fed a balanced diet and has freee choice forage, then there is very little supplementation required. This whole experience just affirmed that for me. Nothing against the integrity of the product! It just turns out there is still no magical supplement to “cure” a nervous hard keeper.

Excellent vitamin E source for horses
Treating a horse with EMND and vet recommended the Elevate product over all others as it is more readily used by the body. Been feeding at our vets recommended dosage and the horse is responding. She eats it by itself or mixed in feed. Started feeding to the rest of our horses as well and no problems with them eating it either. This is a powder form.

Fantastic Product For Any Horse Owner!
As the most bioavailable natural Vitamin E supplement for horses on the market, which the research to support this, I highly recommend this product to any horse owner. I started my Dressage horse on it when we suspected EPM, and while I cannot say it ‘cured’ him, I think it definitely helped support him.

Not sure if it worked
Purchased it as an immune system booster. My horses did fine for a while, but then the same problems reoccurred, so I guess it is not a real remedy. It probably speeds up the recovery, but I would not count on miracles.

Only way to keep her E levels healthy
I use a little more in winter and a little less in summer. This product works. My mare’s levels are stabilized. We had to bring them up a bit then modified the amounts we used and she’s just fine. I called the company to learn more; their staff is extremely knowledgeable. You can help the E levels of your horse with this product with confidence.

If you suspect neurological problems, this stuff helps quickly
i saw almost immediate results for my older horse’s suspected neuro looking problems. He started walking better, not dragging his hooves and was much perkier. Definitely worth the money. Within a few days of twice per day dose, he moved much stronger and straighter.

I had a pony who was skin and bones. …
I had a pony who was skin and bones. Nothing I did would put weight on him. After much bloodwork and testing it was determined that he was Vit E deficient. I also learned that there was a huge difference between Vit E and NATURAL Vit E. Don’t throw your money away on buying vit E that isn’t natural.

Still dealing with EPM
My gelding was treated for EPM and has substantially recovered but unfortunately still has some lingering issues. With Elevate I really see a difference in my horses attitude. He makes better trail decisions and isn’t such a bully when he is treated with Elevate and can keep a level head.

Vit E check for weight loss
My horse was dropping weight. My vet suggested checking Selenium and Vit E Levels. Vit E levels terribly low. He went on this, 10 cc daily for 30 days, in 21 days I noticed his coat changed looking very shiny , his energy level seem to increase some and best of all he was gaining weight slowly. : ) He is stll on a maintenance dose of 1 scoop daily and looks amazing! I am more than happy. Someone said he looks a little plump…hahaha
