Very disappointed/false picture
The listing shows the stud muffins in a container with a lid, which is what I need, so was very happy to order 4 of them. They arrived in bags…not a container. Useless to me on a farm as they will dry out and are inconvenient in bags due to critters in the farm.

Keep the horse happy!!!!!
Kudos to Amazon for delivering the product in significantly better condition than a competing front door pet food delivery company. The peppermints weren’t melted and the cookies aren’t smashed to an unrecognizable blog. Setting up auto delivery with Amazon for my horse’s fav treat!

Good treat for those mint-loving horses!
All of horses in my barn love mint, and we often feed the mint candies like the Starlight mints or the Soft puffy mints that Redbird makes. But they go crazy for these treats! They also make nice gifts.

Mints were melted
My horses love the normal version of these treats so I thought they woukd REALLY love them with a peppermint in the center. The peppermint were totally melted and smeared all over the bag, looked more like bird poop. Horses still ate them, but they were NOT as pictured.

Melted
My horse loved them but they came melted together in big clumps. She didn’t mind but I don’t like putting my hand in the package and getting melted mint all over my hands.

Minty Muffins saved my horse’s life
A few days ago on the 23rd of December my 28 year old mare injured herself in the pasture and when I found her a couple of hours later she was colicking from the pain. I could barely get her to walk to her stall. The vet advised me that her best chance of survival was to trailer her to the equine hospital a couple of hours away so they could treat the colic. I decided not to as I didn’t think she would survive the trailer ride and if she did she might die at the animal hospital without me being there.I came to the sad conclusion that I needed to let her pass peacefully at home. As the vet was preparing I told my husband to bring the last bag of Minty Muffins from the house and start taking all the peppermints out of them. ( I use the muffin part to hide her Cushings medicine but she is never allowed the mints because she is also insulin resistant – she shouldn’t even have the muffins but the residual peppermint flavor is enough to obscure the bitterness of her pills and it’s the best part of her day so she gets the one a day without the mint in the middle).I decided that if I was going to put her to sleep she would go out with the taste of real peppermints in her mouth which she loves so much! So there we were feeding the mints from the muffins to her and to my surprise she perked up a little and started to show interest. After a few minutes I decided not to go ahead with the euthanasia but rather wait and see how she did over the next few hours with help from the vet who was sceptical but kind enough not to say anything. Every time my mare started to falter I gave her a mint.It wasn’t easy, and Christmas gifts weren’t wrapped this year, but its 3 days later and she is on the road to recovery.Thankyou Minty Muffins. You saved my horse’s life this Christmas and I am so grateful.

Comes in a bag
Comes in a bag, not a plastic bin, like everyone else noted. I was disappointed because I prefer the mouse resistant packaging and hoped to reuse it, but that just means I have to keep it at home until treat time.I bought a bag for my horse’s 29th birthday and he went nuts for them. Lip flipping, hunting for more, assault with snoot, the whole circus.5 stars for flavor and softness.5 stars for pill hidability.4 stars for the misleading photo of packaging.

Very Popular with Cows and Horses.
A very special snack that horses and cows love. I bought them for my favorite farm animal rescue. They love it. It’s inexpensive, has a great flavor and make a great gift.

Poor quality and nothing like the picture
There no crunchy mint in the middle of any of the treats! Every mint has melted to a gooey mess. There is little resemblance to any of the photos presented in the product description as shown in the attached photos.

melted and gooey peppermints
I loved the idea of these and my horse did eat them, but they were a very sticky mess. The peppermints were gooey and melted, with the treats stuck together in clumps. I had to tear them apart and then piece and press them back together.

Horses loved but packaging not as pictured
I already knew my horses LOVED German Horse Muffins and peppermints separately so I knew they would love these, however I only bought them this time for the container, so I could store them without them drying out. They did not come in the awesome plastic bin, but instead in a zipped bag. Still love them, just disappointed.

Horse loves these treats!
My horse loves soft treats with a hard peppermint center. I use them as training treats and he can not wait to enjoy them after our riding sessions. Only drawback is that I wish they had a few more in the package.

Mares like Mint Muffins
My horses favorite treat of all treats. The other 3 horses she resides with like the mindless muffins. I am so happy you are still making them with the mints. Mahalo!

Overall they were fine. The rider was much more bothered by the melted candy center than horse was.

Bought them for M_Crouton and Roo!
If you need a review, check out M_Crouton on twitter. I bought these to donate to the farm. They video them eating these and it’s 100% awesome.

Don’t buy
They treats are in a tiny bag/container and is very misleading because the pictures show a big container. Also, the peppermints look like they were melted, then ripped off, and the treats themselves were stuck together in a ball. My horse likes the taste but for the money it is a rip-off.

My horse will do absolutely anything for a minty muffin! These are the best! (I’m taking his word for it. Haven’t tried them personally…. though I’ve been tempted.)

Not as advertised
I ordered this product thinking that I was going to get cookies with a peppermint in the center in a plastic jar. I received cookies with no peppermints in the middle and they were in a bag instead of a jar. I’m wondering if maybe the peppermints didn’t melt somehow in either the storage or transport of this product as every cookie is impossibly sticky. Then being in a bag makes it a very unpleasant and messy process to get them out. I will not buy this product again.

Meh
These treats arrived looking very sloppy, but they’re horse treats so I wasn’t complaining. I gave one to the horse I ride and he wasn’t impressed. He ate the peppermint and spit the rest out and wouldn’t take it when I offered it back to him. In the end, I threw away pretty much the whole treat and walked away with my hand covered in slobber and smelling like molasses. At least he liked the peppermint!

Melted Mess! Don’t waste your money
All of 3 bags I bought was completely melted! It was a mess to give them to the horses. I was so embarrassed as the 2 families I gave them to for their horses for their birthdays had the same mess as I did. Would not recommend and would never buy again!

Product Damaged
Horses love these cookies but I ordered multiple containers & they all arrived with no mints left in them – the mint had “melted” and all of the rest of the cookie was in 1 big ball. I tried returning but they are saying I can’t. WARNING…DO NOT purchase these from Amazon. Your horse will thank you!

This was a big mistake!
These came in a bag, not a plastic container and they were all gooey and melted. This is not how the product was described and they won’t allow refund or returns. I am not trusting these to feed my horse. DO NOT BUY!

Not packaged as described and less than 1lbs but delicious treat
This product was not shipped in the container, in the posted image. It is in a bag. That’s important, as you may want the container to keep in your stable locker. The item was not 1lbs worth. The cookies were gobbled up by the horses and were true to their usual recipe and a horse favorite.

Total RIP OFF and you can’t return it! Photo is very misleading!
The photo is very misleading – you are not receiving the large container that you would normally pay about $20 for if you bought it in the store. A 1lb bag is a TINY bag. Total RIP OFF!! AND you can’t return it so I’ll be disputing the charge based on false and misleading advertising.
