Super Picky Eater Gobbles These Up
We have a gelding who is quite picky about feed, and even worse when if comes to trying to hide pills in his feed. The Dimples Horse Treats do the trick! They come in a nice bucket and are easy to manage – not tons of packaging for each treat. Highly recommend this product!

Love these treats.
Treats are perfect for my older miniature horse who is 27 years old. They are soft and I break them into four pieces for him to chew them. He loves them. I will always buy these.

Works well if they arrive in one piece
I’ve used these many times. It’s a life saver with a senior horse who needs daily pills. This recent order of them arrived exploded all over the box and dried out and crumbly… Moral of the story make sure you keep the lid sealed

Pony LOVES them!! Nothing else works/hay,grain….
Hands down the easiest way to give meds. I have an older pony that was diagnosed with Cushing this spring and he was being a “pill” to get him to take his pill. It didn’t matter if it was in a small amount of grain(that worked every third time of giving it, apple’s never worked, grass worked again every third dose, hay every once in awhile, grain with soy bean oil again every third. I honestly didn’t have much hope for this product but what we had been trying was certainly not working well. I tested with a treat without anything in it and he gobbled it up. Then I put a pill in it thinking ya right he is not going to take it…. Low and behold he did and has for the past 3 weeks with no hesitation. Some people commented that the treats will dry out (they are great because they are soft and form to the pill) and I can believe that. He only get a 1/3 treat each day so it will take us a long time to use them all up. I ended up putting most of them in a ziplock bag until I need them. They also smell delightful

Poor shipping
Like another reviewer remarked, the plastic container arrived open in the box with the contents spilled out and some of the treats crumbled. I hoped they would still be moist enough to close around a pill, but consistently my horse is able to eat around the pill, which drops out with a few oats from the treat, into my hand. It often takes two treats to deliver his Pergolide medication completely. He likes the taste of these, but they are too dry and crumbly. I imagine they would work better if the container had not opened up during shipping.

Amazon Packing Is A Problem
Love this product. Absolutely need it for administering pills to my horses. Once again, Amazon’s packaging is poor quality. The lid on the tub opened inside the box and the pill dimples were strewn about in the box. This dries the pill dimples out and makes the crumbly, essentially not useful. AMAZON NEEDS TO TAPE THE TUB LID ON SO THAT IT WILL NOT COME APART IN SHIPPING AND PROVIDE APPROPRIATE PACKING MATERIAL BETWEEN THE TUB AND THE BOX SO THE TUB DOESN’T MOVE AROUND.

Ok but Meh
The horses love them, but they dry out and crumble faster then we could use them. For a picky pill eater they are good, but we would not get again.

Getting a pill into a horse who disdains apples and carrots is a challenge
As the headline implies, the usually effective method of getting a horse to ingest a pill is to hide it in a divot carved into a piece of carrot or apple. That worked on my mare for a few days, then she decided she didn’t like apples or carrots. The first “soft horse cookie” I got fell apart completely. This product (Dimples) gives you 50% more for half the price (!) and comes with a hollowed out “dish”. I put a little molasses in the dish with the pill to hide it, and it worked like a charm. Thank you!

Easy way to get horse to eat his bute tab
I’ve ordered this product several and will probably order again. I am very disappointed in the shipment received today. I ordered 3 and 2 had the lids off. The “treats” were loose in the box. I’m thinking maybe that caused them to dry out because they fell apart in my hand when molding around pills. Hopefully all aren’t going to be this way!

My Picky Horse Loves These
My horse is very picky about her treats. And she loves these. I had to find something new to put her Prascend in. So I split the Prascend tablet and put it in a small empty gel capsule. This hides the smell of the Prascend. I put the gel capsule (with the Prascend in it) in the Dimples treat. She eats it right up without even knowing that she took her medication.I could put the capsule on top of her grain but sometimes she refuses to eat her grain. So putting it in the treat just makes it easier to ensure she takes her meds.

Great way to “trick” my horse into taking worm medicines
I tried this product in January after many years of having my sweet horse toss me around like a paper sack when trying to administer her annual worm regimen. It did take me about a month, but I got it all down her mouth w/absolutly no resistance on her part!!! And she had a “0” egg count in May!!!

Easy way to get medicine when you are away
When I am away, or can’t get to the barn 2x a day, I leave the pill pocket filled with the liquid medicine she needs. It absorbs her medicine and the farm knows to put it in her night feed. She loves them, and that way I know she is getting her medicine. Before this, the farm was just squirting the liquid medicine in her feed, and I never think she got her correct amount. THis gives me piece of mind. It’s the best ever to see her get her medicine. I also give her a plain one for a treat after she’s been so good with taking her medicine.

Crumbly and don’t hold together
My horses love the taste of these treats but they don’t work well to conceal pills at all. They are crumbly and when you try to squeeze them around a pill they just fall apart. German Horse Muffins work way better. For a tasty treat that is easy to chew, these are good treats. For pill pocket treats, these will not work.

Great product terrible packaging
My horse is on Prascend and this is the best treat I’ve found to hide the “pink” pill. It’s a soft moist product that you can squeeze around the pill so it doesn’t fall out. Unfortunately both times I’ve purchased it the lid was off the package which made them dried out and crumbled. I’ve found that if I transfer to a tupperware container and place a wet (wrung out) paper towel over the product, snap the lid down and check on it in a day or two they are moist again. It’s a good product for what I need it for but sure wish they good figure out a better way to keep the lid on during shipping!

Did it’s job, not my favorite pill pocket to use I’m afraid
Little crumbly to squish around pills sorta falls apart around pills instead of holding thrm. My horse took his pills more willing once placed into product though. Would recommend unless horse is very picky not as sweet of molecules as I’d expect.

Great product
I buy these because my horse really likes them & its the only way I can get medicine down her. I hav purchased them several times through Amazon from different sellers & had a couple containers arrive busted open but this particular seller shipped it fast & securely. I can’t complain & my horses follow me around begging for them

Crumbly, non appetizing horse treats
My. Horses hate them. They didn’t do well to disguise medication because they fall apart with the horse getting the goodie and the meds still not in the horse

Perfect Treat/Pill Delivery System!
Perfect!! Horses love them, the one with a pill in it is crunched right down. These are great as just treats as all the horses are going nuts for them, but super great when you’ve got pills to feed.To those who said they were dry, couple of hints, if you hold them in your hand or breathe on them they get softer, also, if you put a slice of bread on top of the ones in the container it’ll keep them moister longer. BTW, this trick works with all baked things – if your cookies baked too long, stick them on a place, put some bread on top and cover with plastic wrap. You’ll be amazed.Anyway, top notch product – totally recommend!!

Package took FOREVER and was open.
The package took 2 weeks to arrive, and when it did it was OPEN and spilled out and all the dimples were dry. I repacked them with marshmallows in hopes of actually being able to use them. No returns. Super disappointed in every way. Really needed them, too as my horse is terrible about her meds.

Great pill pocket!
Works perfectly to hide my donkey’s daily pill! He’s super smart and even he has no idea it’s in there. It’s has a premade indention for the medicine which is awesome! And it’s super sticky and molasses smelling to conceal the taste and smell. The trick with any pill pocket is to not use the hand that touched the pill to further touch the pill pocket. After touching the pill you transmit the odor and taste to the treat. Use one hand to insert the pill and the other to roll the treat and give to your horse/donkey.

These are a lifesaver
I’ve been using this product for almost 2 years for my horse to get his Prascend. He adores these treats and takes them happily. My other horse gets jealous so I have to give him a little piece too.I buy from Amazon because I need them quickly, and some other suppliers charge extra shipping for the weight. This latest bucket though, was completely stale. I have never had that happen. The little treats can usually be squeezed closed around the pill, or even split in two. But the ones I just received crumble in my hand. I have to really work at getting the treat to stay together around the pill. And there were a couple mornings that my horse hesitated before eating it- first time ever.Looked into returning but cannot. So I guess I will avoid buying something that is important for my horse off Amazon.**edited my review to say that the company is AMAZING. They replaced with perfect, fresh product. They rectify everything, and to make sure you buy from only one seller in particular on Amazon that is authorized to sell their product (begins with a U).I absolutely recommend these treats, they make giving medication SO much easier, and I will continue to buy them and support this company.

Great quality soft treats
If you decide to save yourself a little money and do abler tablets for ulcers these treats are the easiest way to give them. Probably any tablet for that matter. The treat is malleable and soft enough to completely enclosed the tablet and the dimple makes them easy to use. Definitely recommend and the price point is excellent too. Around 25 dollars similar to chewy with faster shipping.

Our horses love these
Our mini horse loves these. She’s around 35 years old.She isn’t allowed a lot of extras as she is an easy keeper. These treats even smell good. I’m sure they taste great. We break them into four pieces for her. That gives us plenty of treats. They lasted around six monthes. Great value!! Our big guy gets two treats. The perfect size for him.

goes stale too quickly
giving one a day to hide the pill. by the time you get 2/3 through, the treat is dried out and crumbles, and has lost the flexibility. even though it is in a container, the air dries it out. maybe putting it in a plastic bag would limit the air around the product and keep it fresh longer.

Perfect for a toothless mare!
I was having a hard time getting my 33yr old mare’s Cushing’s medication into her. After a few years, she found out it was in her grain and I was tired of shoving into her mouth and waiting for it to dissolve. These are perfect for her–she’s mostly toothless, so these are soft and easy for her to chew. She takes her pills now without any issue. Highly recommend!

Delivery always spilled
I love these treats, I can split 2-3 sections of one to give daily medication, but the only down fall is whenever they are delivered the lid is off and treats are spilled all over the box and dry out. So I lose quite a few every delivery.

Very pleased
I read many comments before ordering. Biggest concern was the bucket and seal. My product arrived in a bucket that has a small seal you have to break before it will open. Maybe this is a new feature for this product? Anyway, bucket was in good shape and product enclosed. I am very happy with these pill pockets! They are very soft, you can easily tear in half if giving just a small pill and get one to last for two days. My horse likes the taste of them and I like how simply it makes giving meds. I will be a repeat customer.

Affordable and work well! Excellent pill pockets!
This is a great way to give my horse his allergy medicine. I can fit five Zyrtec pills into a single pocket. They are a bit messy, but can be squished and rolled up almost like Playdough. I bag up a week’s worth of my horse’s dinners, and they hold up well even in the bag with his grain. He loves them and doesn’t care about the pills at all.I give two of these per day and am completely satisfied with my purchase! They’re affordable and work well.

Love the product, but packaging poor!
Positive — I love these dimple pockets muffins! They are soft & you can easily squish them into a ball after inserting desired med or supplement. My horse finds them irresistibly tasty and gobbles them down. I pre-make a bunch of “medicine muffins” for barn staff to add to my horse’s grain ration.NEGATIVE — The bucket is sturdy enough, but for the FOURTH time, the Amazon box has arrived with the lid popped off the Dimple bucket, with all the dimple muffins rolling around inside … dried up and crumbling. Total mess and the muffins are then useless because you cannot mold the pill packet around the pill I put in it. The bucket needs to have a more secure lid and/or the lid needs to be taped or sealed somehow.

My pony loves them, easy to give medicine

Good product overall but…..
Have purchased this product 9 times. Works great for giving my horse Pergolide for his cushings. He loves the treat and it is pliable enough to cover up the pill. The last tub had several moldy ones in it though (which I promptly threw out) but now he has stopped eating the rest so they must all have a bad taste.

Great!
Second order:This time two containers in the order arrived with one of the containers cracked. I think UPS threw the box around a lot. I was worried that the product would have dried out. Instead of asking for a replacement I opened the container and checked and they were indeed dried out a bit.I transferred the Dimples treats out of the cracked container and into a different one and very lightly sprinkled water (not much) over the affected treats. It worked! The next day all of the treats had regained their normal pliable consistency.First order:I was a bit worried about how the product would arrive, since others had issues with the container being open, but mine was fine and had a tab that needed to be removed to allow the top to open. The treats work very well for dispensing medication. I don’t need the entire treat, which are quite large. It’s easy to break off what you need and mold the treat around the pill. My little horse is now happily eating his medication that he needs twice a day.

Makes giving my horse his medication, easy!!
My horse recently was diagnosed with PPID, (Cushing’s disease). I knew that nothing I had on hand was going to help disguise the taste of the pergolide drug. I needed something moldable, that I could wrap around the pill. I ordered these. Wow! I only need a third or half of one. I mold it around the piece of pill and give it to him and give a small piece with nothing in it to keep him wanting more so he finishes the first piece. They smell really good and they cover up the pill smell and taste. So happy I got these. Worth every penny! My horse looks forward to pill time!🐴

Works great for equine meds
These treats completely form to my mule’s daily pill. You just pancake the treat to the pill. The dimples are big so I break them in half and use just a half a day for each pill. I don’t think I could mold the entire dimple to a pill as the treat is really big! My mule comes running for these and doesn’t notice or care (she’s smart) that the pill is inside.

PERSNICKETY OLDER PONY POUNCES ON THEM, UPDATE 112/19 – NOT ANY MORE
UPDATE 12/19: My dear pony outsmarted me and quit taking them. If she smells it in my hand from giving to other horse before her, she won’t take her low sugar treat or apple piece, anything from my hand. Genius she is. — Old: My sweet 20 yr. old Shetland tobiano mare with blue eyes loves these and takes her Cushings med with ease now. Finally. Phew! It’s been a struggle with her bloodhound nose discovering my deception in other methods of trying to get her med in her. I break it in half, smaller than one half doesn’t work for me yet. I press in the pill and squeeze it closed and put it in her tiny bit of medicinal suppies wetted with 3/4-1 cup of water to prevent a dry bolus and choke with a few dime size apple bits added. So very… Worth it. The relief, ah, sigh, the huge relief of getting her med in her everyday is enormous! I’m sure you could hand feed. She’s so smart, but this time I think I’ve out-smarted her. Maybe the manufacturer can make a half size for ponies and minis. Please, please, please!!! I’d be first in line!

Horses Love Them! (that’s the problem!)
None of my local tack stores sell these, so I have to order on line, which means extra money for shipping. That’s the only downside…$30+ for horse treats..ugh. The horses love them though; they’re soft so the old horses with bad teeth can still manage them and enjoy a treat. I’ve been buying these for a few years –they go too fast! Stop Wasting Money Elsewhere! THE BEST for Horse Pills!
I’ve tried many brands over the last year to give my horse pills in. My guy needs 5 pills daily and most treats just won’t work for that. The Dimples Horse Treats are perfect! hold the 5 Zyrtec just right, easy to push/mold around the pills. I’ll also break one in half for the pergolide pills I give 2 other horses. Even the most finicky eaters have never refused these treats! Highly Recommended – you won’t be sorry and you’re horse(s) will love you!
